In the timeless city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny. This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, with Colombian bands and indigenous communities building props and sets for the series. I’m still on episode 4 but so far so good, pretty amazing in fact, it was everything I hoped for. I know there will be a lot of people who are not happy with this adaptation, but at the end of the day it’s a big big novel, we all know it’s just unfilmable and as you all know, the author didn’t agree to the adaptation of the novel. before, and now his kids are okay with adapting it, so the bottom line in my opinion is that Netflix managed to adapt it pretty well, maybe not quite perfect, but they got it pretty close, I think they did a remarkable job recreating the spirit of the novel + the casting is very good, and the locations and the whole production was actually satisfying. Overall, I recommend people to give it a try and not let the reviews affect you and not let the name Netflix affect you. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
