Story
When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack by greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. a storage facility in Quebec; five people were sentenced to prison.. This series reminded me of the Fargo series which I loved… it’s an 8 imo because it kept my interest..
loves all her roles
Margo Martindale is her usual great self… I didn’t know that Canada produces over 70% of the world’s maple syrup… 90% from Quebec. I remember a story from 10-12 years ago about a maple syrup heist in Quebec…
The supporting cast is also great
worth millions of dollars, so I had to watch that. the story has a French/Quebec flavor (syrupy analogy lol). The music is interesting as all these familiar hits are tastefully recreated in French with beautiful voices. The scenery is so rural Quebec which lends realism to the story.
a must see
The story is a drama but with a tasteful comedy. Jamie Lee really adds to that and it was great to see her on screen again. It’s not a long-running series like many, so it makes for a nice change of pace… Highly recommended…
