At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan shook up the folk music scene by going electric and singing rock as the voice of a generation — defining one of the most transformative moments in 20th-century music. According to Collider’s October 2020 interview with cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, the Bob Dylan film project will be put on the back burner due to the recently announced COVID precautions being taken by studios. And that’s why Papamichael and director James Mangold are moving on to other projects. "I don’t think he’s dead," Papamichael said of the Chalamet-led biopic, “But it’s hard to pull it off in the COVID era because it’s all set in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so you’ve got a lot of hair and makeup. Our next project is actually Indiana Jones 5 (2022). Mangold is doing that."
